Hello
BCHMCPS!
Barnstable
Junior Girl Scout Troop 80095 has many alumnae of BCHMCPS. We are working on a
Community Service Project and we are going back to our Community-minded school
to ask for help.
We
are collecting donations for the homeless. We have been working with Sgt.
Jennifer Ellis of the Barnstable Police Department Community Impact Unit. She
will help us distribute our collections to the proper Homeless Agencies in
need.
We
are looking for new white socks, sunblock and other toiletries. All donations
are welcome, but there has been a need identified for woman’s clothes and
toiletries in particular.
We
will be collecting donations in a donation box near the front office and would
be so appreciative of your support.
Please
send your donations in by Friday, June 15th.
Again,
thank you and enjoy your summer!

Don't forget the June 6 School Committee meeting. At this time the Barnstable School Committee will be voting whether they will renew BCHMCPS's charter for another 5 years.
What does this mean?
- A NO vote means that next year will be the last year for BCHMCPS and our school will return to be a district, not charter, school.
- A YES vote means that BCHMCPS will continue as a charter school making independent decisions for the education of your children.
- PLEASE come to the June 6 meeting to tell the School Committee about what you think about your child's educational experience and how you they should vote.
- Please contact the School Committee members ahead of time about what you think. School Committee members' contact information is on the Barnstable Public Schools' website: https://www.barnstable.k12.ma.us/domain/41
You have a
CHOICE!
With a Horace Mann Charter School in Barnstable you have a
choice in your child’s education.
We need your
VOICE!
At Barnstable
Community Horace Mann Charter Public
School we believe in parents as part of the decision making process. As part of
the 5 year charter renewal process, the Barnstable School Committee must vote
to approve our application. As parents and residents of Barnstable you have the
right and opportunity to show your support for our school. You may make a brief statement as to why this
school is important to you and our community or simply help us fill the room
with supporters!
