March 22 Blog Post

What a great night last night was for the Spaghetti Dinner and Game Night!

A big thank you to the PTO, with a big shout out to Chairperson Kelly Przygoda, and the Grade 3 teachers for organizing the Spaghetti Dinner and to Mrs. Milne and Mrs. White for putting together the Game Night portion of last night's festivities! So many volunteers and families to thank, along with the wonderful community and business donors who made last night such a success.

Looking ahead, a reminder that April 3rd is an early dismissal for teacher professional development. Students are dismissed at 12:00. There is no afternoon daycare.

As we continue to increase our efforts to combat hunger in the district, effective immediately, Barnstable Public Schools Food Service Department will offer all elementary students a bagged lunch to take home on all scheduled half days of school.  The lunch will consist of a cold sandwich, bagged snack, fruit and milk. There are no substitutions in the bagged lunch and students are under NO obligation to take a bagged lunch home on these half days.
Students who receive free  or reduced lunch will receive this lunch free or reduced. All other students, the cost is the same as the daily lunch of $2.65. Teachers will ask students on the half day if they want the bagged lunch.
Thank you to the Food Services Department for working so hard to feed our children.

Grade 3 ELA MCAS sessions will be take place on April 9th and 10th. The April 9th Principal Coffee will be postponed until May.
